At Dearheart Photos our style follows a documentary approach with direction given when needed. We aim to keep things as relaxed as possible both in front of the lens and behind the camera. Our passion is to tell stories amidst life’s unplanned and spontaneous moments. Be it about a gentle touch, a deep belly laugh, a shared look, overwhelming joy, passion and celebration, we’re there to document it all.
As you look through your photos, we want to leave you with a feeling; an authentic memory of your wedding day rather than always perfectly positioned hair and a spotlessly clean wedding dress. We believe that your wedding should be captured with as much joy, love and attention as you have put into organising it.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you caught on film is captured forever, It remembers little things long after you have forgotten.”- Aaron Siskind

Hey there! I’m Lindsay, a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa.
As a photographer, I’m honoured to experience vulnerable and priceless moments in people’s lives.
It seems only fair to share a bit about my life too…

After studying a three-year degree in photography in Stellenbosch, I planned to explore the documentary and journalistic side of it. I’d never given too much thought to wedding photography and it took kind (and brave) friends who trusted a newbie like me to photograph their wedding. This is where my interest in the industry sparked.

This happened around the same time I met my now husband, so weddings were close to my heart and a cause of great excitement – I’ve really grown to love being part of the wedding day, it combines three of my favourite things: love, photography and people. I’m energized by people and I’m fascinated by their stories. Witnessing real love every weekend and curating that story with my camera is one of the most rewarding and amazing jobs I can think of.
