Nina & Herno

Cape Point

This shoot had it all.. the highs, the lows, the drama and an incredibly cool couple.

Nina and Herno are amazing photographers over at Nina Buys Photography and are based in Pretoria. Ive been wanting to photograph at Cape Point for so many years and so when I found a couple who were keen I jumped at the opportunity.

We had so much fun running up and down the beach, avoiding baboons and watching the most beautiful sunset on a surprisingly windless day. Near perfect day until it was time to leave and we couldn’t find the car keys :/  I quickly tried to retrace my steps but it was getting dark quickly and I  had no luck, so I called my husband to bring the spare keys but it took him about 2 hours to get home from work and back to Cape point with traffic. We sat cuddled up with spare clothes in the dark parking lot of Cape point until we got a phone call from my husband saying that he was at the gate but it was locked and there was no contact numbers around. Mild panic, but after phoning my mom ( not so grown up after all) she managed to track down the mountain rescue and get us out ( about 2 hours later).

Despite the dramatic story these two were so kind, understanding , fun and warm( body heat people) 😉

Thank you guys for being amazing!
